Online marketing is
constantly evolving. As 2014 looms in, so do the numerous innovations
that game changers are expected to bring forth. For this year, here
are some of the trends to watch out for in the online marketing
field.
Social media
marketing will require more diversity.
It seems just days ago
when businesses and their owners were pretty limited when it came to
the social media networks they could use to propagate their marketing
campaigns. Now, it seems like more social networking sites are
appearing all the time; and while some never really took off, newer
sites like Pinterest, Google+, and Instagram have caught on and are
as popular as ever.
Audiences would
demand video and image content even more.
More and more
information are being put up on the web literally every second, and
competing for attention is a daunting task for most online marketers.
That is, however, if the information to be posted has something
special and different in store – like videos and images. Indeed,
written content that includes memorable, compelling pictures or
graphics, and content in the form of video is much more likely to get
noticed than text-only information.
Less will be more.
A good example for this
would be Apple and Google, two of the world’s top brands that are
bent on keeping everything simple. The expected shift in consumer
preference will sway into this trend supported by industry giants –
a trend that mainly involves simplistic marketing messages instead of
in-depth yet irrelevant ones.
